Before & After Care

  • Before School Care

    Before School Care is available for grades PK-8. Drop-off is from 7:00-7:15 a.m. at the lower gymnasium door. There is a $3.00 per day fee for Before School Care billed monthly in Blackbaud Tuition Management.
  • After School Care

    • Dismissal to 6:00 p.m.
    • After school care is available for grades LW-8.
    • $7.00 per hour per child billed to your Blackbaud Tuition Management account monthly
    • Snack provided in classroom (students need to bring a water bottle) 
    • Homework time in a classroom
    • Outside play

  • Pick-up Procedures

    Four parking signs are located in the parking lot in front of Haygood Gymnasium. Please park and text the ASC phone number (901.825.0588) with your child's name, grade, and make of car. You may enter through the Haygood Gymnasium entrance, down the stairs, and to the right to the ASC desk to sign your student out for the day.

    Each week an ASC class will have a Book Day, Exercise Day, Arts & crafts Day, Movie Day, and a Stem Activity Day. One each day of the week.

  • Fall ETC Classes (August 31-October 23)

    🌱 Green Thumbs
    Green Thumbs will plant a fall salad bed! After tending to their garden, students will enjoy taking a salad home to eat. They will experience all aspects of gardening, including planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting. They may even grow their love of salad vegetables! As always, students will have time to play and enjoy being outside.

    🍶Clay Creations
    Students will have the opportunity to explore and create in a variety of ways using traditional hand-building ceramic techniques. Students will bring their pieces to life with pops of color and texture, using glazes to apply finishing touches before taking their work home.

    🎨 Make It Monday
    Make It Monday is a fun, hands-on craft club where creativity comes to life! Crafts will be inspired by the seasons, favorite books, and exciting themes. Students will paint, glue, cut, decorate, and create unique projects to take home while expressing their creativity, trying new techniques, and having fun with friends.

    🎵 Music Lessons with Anne Catherine
    Anne Catherine Landsgaard is currently a senior music student at the University of Memphis and has nearly a decade of experience in music. She has had the privilege of coaching Tennessee All-State singers and has served as the soprano section leader. Additionally, she was a member of the All West Tennessee and All-State Tennessee choirs for two consecutive years. She has five-plus years of experience playing the piano and four years with the guitar.

    🧵 Fall Sewing Club
    Calling all creative girls! Join Mrs. Norville for a fun-filled fall sewing club where you'll learn basic hand-sewing skills, practice different stitches and techniques, and create adorable projects along the way. We'll even sew our very own handmade fabric headbands to take home! No sewing experience is needed—bring your creativity and get ready to stitch, create, and learn something new!

    🤸 Gymnastics Fun! with WINGS GYMNASTICS
    Come join the FUN! Move, jump, flip, swing, & balance! Students will learn foundational skills on bar, balance beam, floor, and vault/mini tramp. Classes also incorporate aerobic movements and stretches that will help develop body awareness and gross motor skills. Gymnasts will build confidence while improving strength, flexibility, coordination, and focus in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment.

    Join Coach Dan Eberle to explore the exciting world of chess! Students in grades 1–8 will learn strategy, tactics, and sportsmanship through fun lessons and friendly games. Whether your child is a beginner or an experienced player, Coach Eberle will help them sharpen their skills and confidence. Chess builds focus, patience, and problem-solving — valuable skills on and off the board!

    🧶 Friendship Bracelet Camp
    Join us in making fun friendship bracelets! We will create a different friendship bracelet each week. We will learn how to create 5 different types/styles of bracelets, including different ways to braid and bead in order to create fun and unique designs!

    Come and see what we do in our Woodland Garden! Friday Gardeners will plant seeds, water, mulch, and weed. They will enjoy all of the garden centers – outdoor kitchen, fairy garden, sand tables, building and climbing area, digging bed, pond, and dinosaur bed. They will benefit from being outside and meeting new friends. We will do some fun projects and help beautify our campus.

    🎭A.C.T.I.O.N. 
    ACTION (Art Choir Theater in One Night) is a ministry of Woodland Presbyterian Church that meets every Wednesday at 5:00 P.M. in the church choir room. We sing, act, create beautiful art projects, study God’s word, and have fun.  There is no charge, and students in SK through 5th grade are invited.  Parents may pick up their children at 6:00 P.M.  If you have any questions, contact Bettye Sue Johnston (Bettyesue@woodlandpres.org or 233-7318).

    🌳 Art and Garden
    You are invited to join us in creating and constructing a tree trunk fairy house on the front field. Art and Garden friends will have opportunities to design and use construction skills and tools to turn a tree stump into a permanent “fairy house” that everyone can enjoy!

    🤸 Obstacle Mania! WITH WINGS GYMNASTICS
    Jump! Duck! Roll! Crawl! Climb! Swing! Each obstacle course will focus on different muscles and skill groups like rolling, jumping, upper-body strength, balance, and body awareness. Students will be active and engaged as they conquer the obstacles! Students will work in age-alike groups on the skills needed for their obstacle course for the day. Then, we’ll put it all together for the MANIA! During the semester session, students will conquer 6 obstacle courses that serve different developmental purposes.

    Get ready for a gooey good time! In this hands-on one-hour Slime Lab, students will mix, stretch, squish, and customize their very own batch of slime to take home. We'll explore the science behind slime while adding fun colors and mix-ins to create a one-of-a-kind creation.

    🎤 Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour
    Calling all Swifties! Join us for a fun-filled day celebrating the magic of Taylor Swift's iconic Eras Tour! Campers will enjoy friendship bracelet making, era-inspired crafts, music, dancing, karaoke, games, photo opportunities, and plenty of Taylor-themed fun. Whether your child has a favorite era or loves them all, they'll spend the day making new friends, expressing their creativity, and creating memories they'll never forget.

    Join Mrs. Norville for a fun, one-hour sewing workshop! Participants will learn a few basic hand-sewing techniques while creating a cute fall-inspired project to take home.     🛍️ Tote-tally Awesome Afternoon
    Join us for an afternoon of decorating tote bags! Each student will get a canvas tote bag to decorate. We will paint, add iron-on patches, and make bag charms to create unique and fun bags!
