  • Before School Care

    Before School Care is available for grades PK-8. Drop-off is from 7:00-7:15 a.m. at the lower gymnasium door. There is a $3.00 per day fee for Before School Care billed monthly in Blackbaud Tuition Management.
  • After School Care

    • Dismissal to 6:00 p.m.
    • After school care is available for grades LW-8.
    • $6.10 per hour per child billed to your Blackbaud Tuition Management account monthly
    • Snack provided in classroom (students need to bring a water bottle) 
    • Homework time in a classroom
    • Outside play

  • Pick-up Procedures

    Four parking signs are located in the parking lot in front of Haygood Gymnasium. Please park and text the ASC phone number (901.825.0588) with your child's name, grade, and make of car. You may enter through the Haygood Gymnasium entrance, down the stairs, and to the right to the ASC desk to sign your student out for the day.

    Each week an ASC class will have a Book Day, Exercise Day, Arts & crafts Day, Movie Day, and a Stem Activity Day. One each day of the week.

    Chess Club | Wednesday | $165 | Midsouth Chess | 1st-8th | 8/27-10/2
    Woodland Chess Club is open to all 1st- 8th grade beginner, Intermediate, and advanced players.  Students are immersed in the exciting, educational and mind-developing game of chess in an engaging and challenging environment.  This is an exciting and fun-filled club where action, activities, and achievement go hand in hand.  If you want to learn chess or improve your chess game, this is the place for you. Chess Club is taught by college students and recent graduates who must exhibit chess ability, skill, enthusiasm, play actively, possess communicative-child friendly skills and excellent moral character.     Music Lessons With Anne Catherine | 4 lessons a month | $125 A Month | Anne Catherine Landsgaard | 1st-8th | All Semester
    Anne Catherine Landsgaard is currently a junior in music therapy student at the University of Memphis, and has nearly a decade of experience in music. She has had the privilege of coaching Tennessee All State singers and served as the soprano section leader.  Additionally, she was a member of the All West Tennessee and All State Tennessee choirs for two consecutive years. She has five plus years of experience playing the piano and three years with the guitar. She is also currently serving as the president of the Student Music Therapy Organizations.

    Lessons offered: Guitar, Ukulele, Piano, and voice.  
    Grades: 1st-8th
    30 Minute Private lessons are scheduled by instructor. Billed monthly through Blackbaud
    Cost: $125 for four lessons a month or $175 for voice and an instrument; guitar, ukulele, or piano
    Lesson availability: M-F 3:30- 5:30                        

    A.C.T.I.O.N. | Wednesdays| Woodland Presbyterian Church| Bettye Sue| SK- 5th | 9/3-12/3
    A.C.T.I.O.N. (Art Choir Theater in One Night) is a ministry of Woodland Presbyterian Church that meets every Wednesday at 5:00 P.M. in the church choir room. We sing, act, create beautiful art projects, study God’s word, and have fun.  There is no charge, and everyone from SK through 5th grade is invited.  Parents may pick up their children at 6:00 P.M.  If you have any questions, contact Bettye Sue Johnston (Bettyesue@woodlandpres.org   or 233-7318).

    Mondays in the Garden| Monday| $25 per class | Ms. Jabbour | PK- 8th | 10/13-10/17
    Come out and enjoy the garden on the Mondays you choose! The gardeners are free to choose activities that they enjoy as they get outside on Monday afternoons. They will help with garden jobs like watering, mulching, weeding, and planting. They will use garden tools and help with projects. They WILL get messy! Mondays are always lots of fun!

    Green Thumbs| Mondays | $200 | Ms. Jabbour | PK- SK | 8/25- 9/29
    Green Thumbs Garden Club members will enjoy the opportunity to work in and care for our beautiful garden. They will plant fall vegetables and flowers and help mulch, weed, and water them. They will participate in all of the garden areas – the mud kitchen, sand tables, tree climbing, the dinosaur bed, the fairy garden, and the pond and waterways. They will be outside and free to run and make as much noise as they want! If your children like to be outside and to get messy, this is the place for them!

    Art & the Garden| Thursdays | $200 | Ms. Jabbour & Mr. Miller | 1st- 4th | 8/28-10/2
    What could be better than art projects to enhance our garden? Participants will design, create, and construct projects that will be used in the garden, both functionally and decoratively. They will use art tools and recycled materials, as well as garden tools! They will enjoy seeing their creations in our garden for years to come!

    Gymnastics Fun!| Wednesdays | $125 | Wings Gymnastics | PK- SK | 8/27-10/1
    Immerse your child in the sport children love while in an encouraging, safe environment! Improve strength, flexibility, coordination, and focus. Learn basic skills on Bars, Balance Beam, Floor & Vault/ Mini Tramp with aerobic movements and fun stretches. Includes games, obstacle courses. Campers should wear leotards or athletic clothing and bring a water bottle. 

    Fridays in the Garden | Friday | $25/class | Ms. Jabbour | PK-8th | 8/29-10/3

    Gardners Club | Tuesday | $200 | Ms. Jabbour | 1st-4th | 10/21-11/25
    The Gardeners will design and help build benches with planters around the patio in front of our stage. They will plant herb and flower seeds in miniature greenhouses that will grow into plants for our bench planters to be planted after April 15. They will complete work on their fall projects. They will also enjoy plenty of time to create in the outdoor kitchen, pond, fairy and dino gardens, and loose parts building area! 

    Page Turners Club | Tuesday | $150 | Mrs. Ryan | JK-1st | 8/26-9/30
    Join us for a fun and interactive book club where we read a new story each week! Together, we’ll explore the main message of each book, build our reading comprehension, and practice social skills through group discussion. Each session will also include exciting, story-themed activities like drawing, games, and more to bring the book to life in creative ways.

    STEAM Explorers | Monday | $160 | Mrs. Dixon | 1st-4th | 8/25-9/29
    Join us for STEAM Explorers Club, where curious minds in grades 1st–4th explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through hands-on experiments, creative projects, and problem-solving challenges. Each week, students will discover new topics, build exciting creations, and have fun while learning!

    Obstacle Mania | Wednesday | $125 | Wings Gymnastics | PK-SK | 10/15–11/19
    Jump! Duck! Roll! Crawl! Climb! Swing! Each of our obstacle courses will focus on different muscles and skill groups like rolling, jumping, upper-body strength, balance, and body awareness. This fun camp focuses on physical and mental organization, along with practical problem solving. The kids will stay active mentally and physically as they conquer...well...the obstacles! Includes games, obstacle courses, arts and crafts, snacks, awards, and more! Campers should wear leotards or athletic clothing and bring a water bottle. Awesome 8:1 camper: teacher ratio.

    Homework Room | M,T,Th |  Mrs. Sully and Mrs. Vollmer | 3rd-8th | All Semester
    A quiet environment to get daily assignments finished. Supervised by a Woodland teacher, students will meet at ASC, have a snack, and then go to their HOMEWORK HOTSPOT classroom.  Please know this is NOT a one-on-one tutoring session.

    Hula Hoop Choreography | F | Mrs. Seibert | 2nd-8th | 9/5-11/7 
    Make your own hula hoop and learn lots of cool tricks! We'll put together dance moves and create a fun routine that students will perform at the talent show in November.
