6.9.2020 A Note Regarding Summer Programming

Good Morning Woodland Families, 

Woodland continues to monitor the guidelines that are regularly being updated by the Shelby County government. As with each communication, things could change, but as of the writing of this email Woodland has decided that for us to resume summer programming on campus, two qualifications must be met:

1.) Shelby County enters into Phase 3 of the Shelby County Back to Business Framework: https://backtobusiness.memphistn.gov.

2.) Shelby County Health Department does not prohibit on-campus summer programming at Woodland as in the most recent health directive that can be found here: http://shelbytnhealth.com/DocumentCenter/View/1748/Health-Directive-No-5?bidId=

Once we have an open date, and these two qualifications have been met, we will need a few days for family registration and to finalize staffing. At that point, we will open our summer program for Woodland families in grades Little Woodland – Fourth Grade. The first week will be designed for children of essential workers and working parents that require childcare. The thought is we will slowly increase the number of students and grade levels on campus each week. Registration will be on a week by week basis.

However, it does give you an idea as to how we plan to approach summer programming this year.
