A Message from Tonya Eddins, Director of Development
Dear Woodland Community,
During these unprecedented times, it has been amazing to watch the entire Woodland community work together to keep our students learning by keeping them engaged, active and well. In true Woodland spirit our students, staff, faculty, and parents have displayed their commitment to caring for one another and for the mission of our school. What a blessing it is to be part of the Woodland community!
The active involvement of our parents, faculty, and staff share a united value of our school’s vision which contributes to the academic excellence and community collaboration Woodland provides. Our strong school culture is a result of our:
Strong Board and Staff Leadership
Active Woodland Parent Organization
High Volunteerism from Parents
Strong Business and Community Partnerships
As a community, you have volunteered at events, served on committees, and helped in the classrooms. You have contributed to the school’s Annual Fund which supports professional development, campus improvements, technology upgrades, and academic enhancements for our Woodland faculty and students. Many of you have played in the annual golf tournament, attended the auction and gala, and supported countless other school events. As a business and community partner many of you have sponsored our school events and donated items to our school auction. Each of you has contributed to our school’s mission!
As we navigate these uncertain times it is important that we continue to stay connected and support our school community. We encourage you to help keep the Woodland community strong by reaching out to each other through emails, phone calls, or writing personal notes. Also, as a school community we need to continue supporting our local Memphis businesses that have been impacted by these unprecedented times. If you have a small business that has been impacted, we would like to help promote your business. Please email me by Tuesday April 14th, with your company information and logo if you would like. We will help promote your business to the Woodland and Memphis community. Together we can keep our community strong!
It is with great gratitude that I say thank you to each of you for being part of the Woodland community. Stay safe and I look forward to seeing you all soon.
Many Thanks and Prayers,
Director of Development
