Lower School
-
Lower School at Woodland is Senior Kindergarten through fourth grade. Our small classes allow for a supportive academic setting where students are immersed in an environment where confidence, independence, and responsibility are fostered and developed. Woodland’s teachers look for situations to develop critical thinking, positive social interactions, and growth opportunities in each child.
Students are nurtured spiritually and emotionally with weekly Chapel and ongoing character lessons with School Counselor Amy Barker. Students participate in weekly special classes: Art, Bible, S.T.E.A.M., Music, P. E., Library, and Spanish. Cross-curricular activities are a part of special subjects where collaborative projects promote collaboration among students.
Performing Arts in Lower School
As part of the performing arts program, Lower School students experience memorable plays where creativity and expression come to life. Each grade in Lower School performs a play or musical which fosters individual creativity, group collaboration, and discovery of unique talents in every student.
