WPO Uniform Sale
The WPO would love to have any uniforms that are clean and in good condition for the uniform consignment sale held before school starts in August. There is a box outside the office to collect uniforms. Details about the uniform sale will be coming soon and volunteers are needed. Thanks for a Great Year!!
I would like to say thank you to all of our hard working WPO chairman and volunteers for making this year a big success! Our volunteers do so many great things for our school. Please know how much we appreciate your support and time throughout the year. Woodland School is a better place thanks to each of you. We are looking forward to starting our year off with a bang with Boosterthon. Also, don't forget to save your boxtops for our first collection in the fall. Have a great summer!
Business Directory Ad Order Form
For the 2012-2013 school year, the Woodland Student and Parent Handbook/Directory will include a Business Directory section. This was a popular part of several past Student Directories, as it provides a quick reference for Woodland families who are looking for a service and would like to employ a Woodland parent.

Summer Math Assignments for Rising 1st-8th Grade Students
Summer math assignments should be completed using https://www.ixl.com/signin/woodlandps between June 4th and July 23rd. Students should log into their accounts, so that scores can be tracked properly. Read more...

All accounts must be paid in full for your child to receive report cards, transcripts and participate in Awards Day or Graduation. If you have any questions, please contact Marla Staton in our business office at mstaton@woodlandschool.org.
Early Childhood & 1st-5th Grade Field Day
Early Childhood Field Day is Weds., May 16th on the upper field.
Start Times are PK – 10:00 a.m.; JK – 10:30 a.m.; SK – 11:00 a.m.
Please make sure that your child uses sunscreen before they come to school.
PK-SK students will also need a bathing suit, change of clothes & towel. Lunch for the students will be provided.
Lower School Field Day is Fri. May 18th 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Please make sure that your child has a water bottle and sunscreen. The WPO will provide lunch for all teachers, students and parent volunteers. Students should wear their field day t-shirt and appropriate length athletic shorts.
Land's End
Lands’ End will continue as Woodland’s uniform provider next year and catalogs were sent home with your child on May 15th . Watch the school website in the coming weeks for any updates or changes to the acceptable uniform items. We will not be making significant changes to the uniform this year. Lands’ End has made some exciting improvements to Woodland’s personalized website that will hopefully make it easier than ever to order!
Outdoor Learning Center Stepping Stones
If you purchased a stepping stone at the parent party auction, please contact David Ogdon to make arrangements for your child to create their personalized stepping stone. The stepping stones will be used to install a pathway in the Outdoor Learning Center garden this summer. We need approximately 200 stepping stones to create the path. If you’d like to place an order, please contact Mr. Ogdon at dogdon@woodlandschool.org.

Friday, May 18, 2012--History Exams
On Friday, May 18 7th grade dismisses at 11:30. 8th grade will have graduation rehearsal from 11:30-12:30. No After School Care for 7th & 8th grade students.
There is no school on Monday, May 21 for 7th and 8th grade students.
Tuesday, May 22 is a half day for 7th graders. 8th graders should arrive at 5:15 to line up for graduation.
On Wednesday, May 23, 7th graders should arrive at 9:30 for their awards day. Dismissal is at 11:30.

Middle School Sports Physicals
If your middle school student plans to participate in any school sport during the 2012-13 school year, please remember that he/she must have a new sports physical on file before preliminary practices for that sport begin. You may download the forms online at this link.
